Rose Antonia Bessette née Grimaldi, 95, of Feeding Hills passed away Friday July 29. She was the daughter of the late Andrea Grimaldi and Carmella Grimaldi née Sarno. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward O. Bessette, brothers James A. Grimaldi and Frank A. Grimaldi, and nephews Andrea J. Grimaldi and Andy Grimaldi. Survivors include nephews James A. Grimaldi, Carmino F. Grimaldi, Frank A. Grimaldi, Roland Benjamin, Roy Benjamin and families; and nieces Suzanne James, Janis Grimaldi, Renee Jury and families and great-nephew Frank A. Grimaldi and family. Though Rose had no children of her own, she treated everyone as family and was known throughout the community as Aunt Rose. Aunt Rose brought everyone together, she loved cooking and feeding her friends and family. Many will remember the years she served as a staff member at the cafeteria at Granger Elementary School. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Feeding Hills and a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society. Funeral will be Thursday at 9 am from the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 10 am. Burial in St. Michael's Cemetery.
