Rose T. (Nigro) Cavanaugh, 92, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 7, 2024. Born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, daughter of the late Sabato and Rose M. (Zito) Nigro, she moved to Feeding Hills in 1972. She was the retired owner and operator of Graphic Arts Supply Store in Springfield and Hartford. She had been a contestant of the Miss Senior Massachusetts contest. Her husband, John T. Cavanaugh died in 1973. She leaves two sons and their wives, Richard and Joan Gendreau of Longmeadow, Michael and Touch Chemelowski of Attleboro, a daughter and her husband, Terese and Daniel O'Neil of Feeding Hills, five grandchildren, Samanth Gendreau and her husband Dylan Smith, Victoria Dowling and her husband Daniel, Kerry Chemelowski, Paige O'Neil, Summer O'Neil, and three great-grandchildren, Oliver Smith, Joseph Foley and Charlotte Dowling and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Modestino Nigro, and two sisters, Antoinette Olivo and Agnes Nigro. Rose's family would like to offer a special thank you for the care that was shown to her by New England Hospice. Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church, 1061 Springfield Street at 11. The burial will follow in Springfield Street Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, 4-6 pm at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street.
