Rose A. Giguere

HOLYOKE - Rose A. (Jock) Giguere, 93, resident of The Mt. St. Vincent Care Center, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2015. Born in Bangor, Maine, to Charles and Rose Jock, Rose spent most of her life in the Springfield, West Springfield and Holyoke area. She married Paul E. Giguere on May 8, 1958. Rose was a seamstress and took much pride in the clothing she made for others. She loved to knit, crochet and play card games with her family and friends. She leaves her son, Daniel Giguere of Alaska, a grandson, Travis Giguere of Tacoma, Washington, her sister-in-law, Claire Boucher of PA and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and brothers and sisters. A private committal service will be held at the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. There will be no calling hours and the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Paul E. Giguere History Scholarship Fund at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (Make checks payable to UMASS AMHERST. Note the Paul E.
