Rose Marie (Pignatare) Perez, 39, was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Smilow Cancer Center at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Holyoke, she was a 1994 graduate of Agawam High School. Rose received her Bachelor's Degree in 1998 and her Master's Degree in Phyisical Therapy in 1999 all from Springfield College. She worked for the Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists in Hamden and Orange, CT where she was a supervisor. While in high school and college, she was the captain of the Field Hockey teams. Rose volunteered much of her time at her daughter's schools and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. She was a communicant and active member of Notre Dame Church in Durham, where she resided with her husband and daughters. She was predeceased by her mother, Carol (Stetson) Pignatare in 2009 and her sister, Carol Mosher in 2013. She leaves her loving and devoted husband of tweve years, Ivan Perez, two daughters, Estella R. Perez, Corra A. Perez both at home, her father, Frank C. Pignatare of Agawam, a sister and her husband, Judith N. and Henry Schachte of Rhinebeck, NY, three uncles, Charles and his wife Marla Pignatare, Ronald and his wife Lisa Pignatare all of Westfield, Russell Stetson, II of Feeding Hills, her mother-in-law, Carmen (Gonzalez) Perez, a brother-in-law, Ulyssess Perez both of Meriden, CT, a sister-in-law, Lyssette Ciardeillo of Guilford, CT, and many cousins and other relatives and friends. The funeral will be Monday at 10am from the AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street with a Mass at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 835 Main Street, both in Agawam.
