Rose M. (Fortini) Pieciak, 98, died Wednesday in a local nursing home. She was born in West Springfield and has lived in Agawam since 1948. She and her late husband Walter owned and operated the Agawam Novelty Company, Inc for many years. She was active at St. John's Church where she belonged to the Catholic Women's Club and the Bowling League. Rose volunteered at Brightside and loved family gatherings and traveling. Her husband Walter died in 2007. She leaves a son Walter Pieciak Jr. and several nieces and nephews. The funeral home service will be Saturday October 5 ^th at 11 am at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.
