Roy E. Beusee

1941 – 2023

West Springfield – Roy E. "Joe" Beusee, 82 died peacefully Monday evening surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born and educated in Springfield, graduating from Commerce High School.  He attended Westfield State College and has raised his family and lived in West Springfield for the past 60 years.  He built a career as an Insurance Appraiser and retired in 2003 from One Beacon Insurance Company.  He served with the United States Navy, was a former member of the West Springfield Lion's Club and coached West Springfield Youth Sports.  Above all, family was the most important thing in his life, Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and never missed an important life moment.  He leaves his beloved wife of 60 years Jean A. (Baranowsky) Beusee; a daughter Michele Hoey and her husband Glenn; a son Roy Beusee and his partner Laurie Hines; three cherished granddaughters Rachel, Jordan and Chelsea; and a sister Ramona Haskell.  He was predeceased by his siblings Louise Symanksi, Jeannine Kellogg, Terrance Beusee and Theresa Bloxam.  The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday at noon followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral home service Monday from 11:00AM – Noon.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating blood or a donation to the American Red Cross.
