WEST SPRINGFIELD – Roy W. Knight, 58, passed away Friday March 11, 2011 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home surrounded by his family. He was born in Springfield, July 23, 1952 and has lived in West Springfield his entire life. Roy was a 1970 graduate of West Springfield High School and a 1972 graduate of S.T.C.C. He was a 23 year employee of the U.S. Postal Service Processing and Distribution Center in Indian Orchard. He was an avid sports fan, played in the Postal Service Bowling League and belonged to East Mountain Country Club. He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Elizabeth (Meyer) Knight. He leaves a brother Kenneth of Granby; a niece Lisa Letendre and her husband Jeff of Springfield, a nephew Bryan Knight and his wife Megan of Westfield; an Aunt Helen Monat; many caring cousins and a dear friend Jody. A graveside service for Roy will be held Wednesday March 16, 2011 at 10:00am in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
