West Springfield – Ruth M. (Stewart) Buteau, 70, of Bosworth Street, died Tuesday surrounded by her loving family.  Ruth was born and raised in Millinocket, Maine the daughter of the late Charles and Beatrice (Skinner) Stewart.  She has lived in West Springfield for the past 52 years.  A homemaker her entire life, her passion was cooking, and she loved spending time with family.  Her husband Robert A. Buteau died in 2006.  She leaves her four children Danny W., Robert F. and Paul D. Buteau and Dawn M. Whitlock.  She also leaves her siblings Charles, Roger Stewart, Barbara Ramsey, Nellie Dewitt and Natalie Brown; six grandchildren Michael, Samantha, Kalub Buteau, Kyle, Brandon Whitlock and Amanda Price and a great granddaughter Reine Whitlock and many nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents and husband, Ruth was predeceased by her brothers Douglas and Paul Stewart.  A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, September 9 ^th from 1:00pm to 6pm at the American Legion on Park Street in West Springfield.  The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.
