AGAWAM – Ruth E. (Laroche) Martone, 90, died Wednesday in Country Estates Nursing Home. Ruth was born in Southbridge and grew up in Springfield before moving to Agawam in 1955. She was a retired bookkeeper for Southworth Paper Company and longtime communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. Her husband Albert Martone died in 1988. She leaves a sister Beatrice Panto of West Springfield and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Saturday at 11:30 with Liturgy in St. John the Evangelist Church at 12:30 followed by burial in Agawam Center Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral on Saturday from 11:30 – 12:00noon. For more details please visit curranjones.com. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
