Ruth Rogers

West Springfield – Ruth Rogers, 90, formerly of Field Street died Sunday in a local nursing home. Ruth was born in West Springfield, daughter of the late James and Sara (Webber) Rogers and has lived here all her life. She worked in Baystate West at CIGNA and then was transferred to Bloomfield, CT until her retirement. She and her mother were active with the United States Marines Auxiliary. She also was a member of the Helma Court #64, Springfield, where she served as High Priestess and Recorder and was a longtime member of the Marvia Court #27 in Albany, NY. She leaves a niece Janet Brown and her husband Anthony; a nephew Aaron J. Pundt; great niece Lorraine Kucak and four great great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Ruth was predeceased by her two brothers James and Warren, both of whom served as Marines. The funeral will be held at St. David's Episcopal Church Friday at 10 with burial in Hardwick Center Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.
