Lawrence, MA – Ruth M. (Whitney) Vinette, 88, formerly of Pittsfield, Agawam, West Springfield and Springfield died Tuesday in a Lawrence nursing home. Ruth was born in Springfield, grew up in West Springfield, married Bill Guevin and lived in Agawam before moving to Pittsfield with her second husband Fran Vinette. Predeceased by both husbands, Ruth leaves three children Thomas and John Guevin and Mary Bergeron. She was also predeceased by her sister Kathleen Oberlander and brohters William and Clifford Whitney. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Saturday at 9:30am with Liturgy in St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church at 10:30am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Saturday from 9:30 - 10:00am. For more details please visit curranjones.com.
