Obituary

Samuel Raymond R. Circosta, 81, died peacefully, Sunday, at Wingate in West Springfield. Sam was born in Springfield, on August 10, 1936, was the youngest of eight siblings, and was a lifelong Springfield resident. Throughout most of his life Sam was a purchasing agent for several area companies and owned a well-known Agawam Italian deli, Lil Bit of Italy, with his beloved wife, Louise (Argiro) Circosta, who passed in 2001. He leaves his daughter Felicia Circosta, his granddaughter Gina Marie, a sister-in-law, Delora (Argiro) OBrien, two brothers-in-law, Dennis OBrien and James Argiro and many nieces, nephews, and cousins and rejoins his loved ones who have gone on before him. The calling hours will be held at Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home, Friday, 6-9 PM. For the burial, friends and family will gather at the Funeral Home at 11 AM on Saturday, followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery. Sam, you will always be missed, but never forgotten.
