Obituary

Sandra J. (Richardson) MacDonald, 66, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015. Born in Wichita, Kansas, she lived in Springfield for many years before moving to Palmer in 1998. Sandra was a teacher in the Springfield Public School System, teaching at Dorman and Harris Elementary Schools. She received her Associates degree from STCC, her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Westfield State College and her Masters degree in Library Media from Cambridge College. Sandra was an active member and volunteer at Bethany Assembly of God Church where she co-managed the non-profit book store and assisted in the women's crafts and drama costumes. She leaves her husband of forty-eight years, James E. MacDonald, two daughters, April J. Graziano of Agawam, June A. Vaine of Enfield, her mother, Betty Jean (Bupp) Buswell of Texas, two sisters, Penny L. Pratt and Candace L. Elk both of Texas, and six grandchildren, Roland C. Nelson III, James M. Nelson, Brandon M. Nelson, Russell E. Vaine, Andrea J. Graziano and Julia A. Graziano. She was predeceased by her father, Kenneth W. Richardson, her brother, Keith W. Richardson and her son, Matthew E. MacDonald. The funeral will be Monday at 10am at Bethany Assembly of God, 580 Main Street with burial in Springfield Street Cemetery, Agawam. Calling hours are Sunday at the AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street from 2-5pm. Donations may be made to Bethany Missions, P. O. Box 422, Agawam, MA 01001
