CHICOPEE-Sandra "Nonie" Paro, 65, died Friday in Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Springfield, grew up in Feeding Hills and has lived in Chicopee for over 25 years. Sandy graduated from Ursuline Academy and received her degree from Bay Path College. She worked as a scheduler for Wesson Memorial Hospital and later for Quality Care Nursing. She was the co-owner of A Caring Touch and worked for 10 years at Riverdale Gardens Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her parents Ernest and Rose Paro. She leaves a large extended family including Ronald and Eleanor Morrissette of Springfield, Mark and Cindy Goodyear of Springfield and Cassandra Haile, Lilly Stronczek, and Roxanne Johnson of West Springfield and their families. She was Nonie to her "grandchildren." Sandy will also be lovingly remembered by many, many friends. Her family would like to thank the Visiting Angels Homecare and the nurses at Baystate for their care and compassion. The funeral will be Monday at 9 am from Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 10 am. Burial in Springfield Street Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday 2-5 pm.
