We are saddened to announce the passing of Sara Laizer, who left this world on April 22, 2024. Sara was born in Holyoke, a daughter of Robert Schafer and the late Rhonda Laizer. Besides her father, she leaves her son, Avery Cockerill. She also leaves her sisters Kaylee Piela, Jade Marcotte, Paige Schafer; her long-term partner, Michael Rigalli; her grandmother Judith Starke; two nieces, three nephews and many more aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Sara was known for her kindness, intelligence, overwhelming beauty, quick wit and sense of humor. Always ready with an uplifting compliment or a listening ear. Her genuine smile and caring nature touched the hearts of all who crossed her path. Her presence brought joy and light to those around her. In her memory, let us strive to live with the same kindness and compassion that Sara exemplified. She may be gone, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Calling Hours will be held FRIDAY from 4 to 6 PM followed by a Prayer Service at 6PM at the CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 109 MAIN ST., W. SPFLD. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
