March 24, 1947 – February 25, 2017
Sharon passed on February 25 th , in the Holyoke HealthCare Center, in Holyoke. She was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, daughter of Frederick J. and Marie W. Stevens. She was a graduate of Holyoke Catholic High School, had worked for Nonotuck Wire and was a self-employed handyman. Sharon was predeceased by her parents, her partner Sharyn Jones, sister Lisa Stevens Nietupski, niece Jillian Stevens Bajumpaa and nephew Shennan Stevens. She is survived by sister Kathleen Stevens, in Washington, brother Jeffry Stevens and his wife JoAnn, in Chicopee, nieces Brea Stevens Gutierrz, Jordan Stevens, Emily Nietupski, Savana, Briana and Julia Gutierrez; nephews Christopher Beard, Philip Nolan IV, Joel Nietupski, Aaryn Stevens and Christopher Bajumpaa; the Tunis/Wiley clan, who became her family; and sister Janet Stevens Nolan of Ashfield. The family's thanks go out to the 3 rd floor nurses, staff and residents for their wonderful care and friendship while she resided at the Holyoke HealthCare Center. Friends and family are encouraged to attend a gathering in her remembrance at Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley, Saturday, March 4 th , from 1:30 until 2:30 pm. Sharon was plain spoken and plain living. She would expect us to be comfortably attired as we gather to share our memories of her.
