Shaun R. Galway, 73, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 14, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.  Born in Bristol, Connecticut, son of the late Robert and Claire (Sheldon) Galway, he grew up in Bristol and was a 1969 graduate of Bristol Eastern High School.  He also attended Wagner College and the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.  He lived in Amherst before moving to West Springfield in 1982.  Shaun worked twenty-one years for United Parcel Service retiring as a supervisor.  He enjoyed gardening, antiquing, jamming out to Classic Rock, long Sunday drives, family vacations, weekend excursions with Ellen up North and everything Boston Sports.  He leaves his wife of forty-two years, Ellen C. (Demers) Galway, a daughter and her husband, Katharine C. and Tarny Joyal of West Springfield, a step-son and his wife, Raymond "Butch" and Michelle Marquis of Greeneville, TN, a step-daughter and her husband, Nicole and Scott Roth of Chicopee, a sister and her family, Laurie, Norm and Brian Judd of South Carolina, and seven grandchildren, Ariel Spears, Bridgette and Veronica Marquis, Kaila and Corryn Roth, T. J. and Alexis Joyal, a great-grandson, Wyatt Spears, nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dog Murphy.  The family would like to thank Baystate VNA & Hospice for their wonderful care and support for Shaun and his family.  Special thanks to Catherine, Rick, Kathy, Steve, Caryn, Sarai and Paula.
