WEST SPRINGFIELD-Shirley S. (Searles) Brown, 88, passed away Wednesday May 7th peacefully at her home. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield, MA, she was the wife of the late Donald C. Brown who went to heaven on July 21, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Carl Richard and Annie (Lemmon) Searles. Shirley is survived by her two sons Robert Brown of Franklin, MA and David Brown of Agawam, MA, her three daughters Diane Appleton and Laurie Paulin both of Florida, and Betsy Brown Hogan of Springfield, MA, her seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 pm at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
