Shirley K. Driscoll

1928 – 2023

West Springfield – Shirley K. (Parker) Driscoll, 95, passed away peacefully Thursday morning at home surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born in Springfield, to the late Augustus and Julia (Daniels) Parker.  She grew up in West Springfield and graduated from Cowing High School in 1946.  She worked for the Farmer's Exchange, WestBank, The Town of West Springfield Veteran's Office before retiring from the School Department.  She attended St. Thomas the Apostle Church.  Shirley was married to the late Edward Driscoll for 73 years until his death in 2021.  Together they loved to travel with the Senior Center Travel Group and enjoyed ballroom dancing as well as dinner club with their friends.  A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be greatly missed. Family was the most important thing to Shirley. Besides her husband Edward, she was predeceased by a daughter Sherran Driscoll.  She leaves behind her daughter, Cynthia Miller; a son, Timothy; granddaughter, Autumn Delaney (Jake); grandson, Christopher Driscoll; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her siblings Walter (Liz) Parker, Warren (Barbara) Parker and June (Earl) Carrington.  The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Tuesday at 11:00am A private burial will be held in St. Thomas Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be Tuesday prior to the funeral home service from 9:30 – 11:00am.  For online condolences or more information, please visit curranjones.com.
