Shirley M. Langlands

West Springfield – Shirley M. (Lunderville) Langlands, 87, of Clyde Avenue died Monday afternoon surrounded by her loving family and caregivers. Shirley was born in Springfield, grew up in the North End and has lived in West Springfield most of her life. At the age of 86, she retired as a waitress from Memo's, where she has been a fixture for the past 30 years. She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Her husband Robert P. Langlands died in 1980. She leaves four sons Billy and his wife Teeta, Bobby and his wife Val, J.P. and his wife Karen and John Langlands; two daughters Barbara Fontaine and her husband Tom and Mary Drewnowski and her husband Tom. She also leaves two sisters Katherine Andrews and Barbara Zalewa and her husband Fred; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a great grandson on the way and her sister-in-law Gloria Lodigoni. Besides her husband Shirley was predeceased by her sisters Ann, Evie and Millie. The family would like to thank all of their friends and co-workers and Shirley's customers who went out of their way to lend their support these past few months. It was greatly appreciated. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday at 9:00am with Liturgy in St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.
