Shirley A. (Provencial) MacDonald, 75, died Saturday in Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Worcester the daughter to the late Clarence & Madeline (Morrow) Provencial, she lived in West Springfield for many years before moving to Chicopee nine years ago. She worked as a CNA for 40 years where she retired from Country Estates in Agawam. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth MacDonald Sr in 2001 and her son Kenneth MacDonald Jr in 2002. She leaves a son Lawrence MacDonald and his wife Bonnie of Chicopee, a daughter Lisa MacDonald and her partner Pearl Armstrong of Adams, her daughter in law Kelly (MacDonald) Shea of Webster and two grandchildren Krystal Workman and Ryan MacDonald both of Chicopee. She also leaves two sisters June Tremblay and her husband Al of Zephyr Hills, FL and Sandra Leiper of Agawam and also a brother in law Ray MacDonald and his wife Ann of Westfield and many other nieces and nephews. The funeral home service will be Friday at 11:00 am at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday before the funeral from 9:30 am to 11:00. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association.
