Stanley G. Dandro, 84, passed away on April 30, 2024. He was born in Worcester on Jan 21, 1940 to the late Alfred and Alice (Soulor) Dandro. Stanley grew up in Milbury, MA and graduated from Milbury High School in 1959. While in high school he was in the Navy ROTC and joined the U.S. Navy in 1959 and later joined the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Chicopee Housing, and went on to work as a machinist at Hamilton Standard. After working at Hamilton Standard, he went to work at Diamond Match as a machinist and tool & die maker. He was the Union President of the DALU until the shop closed. Stanley then joined Olympic Manufacturing in Agawam and has 5 patents with the company before retiring in 2008. During the 1980's he coached softball, and was president of the West Side Band Parent Association. Stanley loved fishing, bingo and playing poker with friends. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Stanley leaves his loving wife of 56 years Mary (Escott) Dandro, his children; Renee Lemonde and her fiancé Rick Mahaney of Westfield, Debrah Rennell (husband Glenn Rennell predeceased) of Agawam, David Goyer and his wife Kathy of Chicopee and Christine Dandro-Drouin and her husband Pierre of W. Spfld, his grandchildren; Heather and Ryan Rennell, Nicholas and Emily Drouin, along with many other relatives and friends, including his best friend of 70+ years Joe Morin and his wife Andrea. Family and Friends are invited to his burial with military honors on WED May 8th at 10 AM in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. Calling Hours will be held TUES from 4 to 7 PM and again WED from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 109 MAIN ST., W.SPFLD. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Stanley's name to the D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans), 68 Court St., Springfield, MA 01103
