Stanley J. Ferris, Jr., 58, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Springfield, son of the late Stanley J. and Mary (Guertin) Ferris, he grew up in Springfield and was a graduate of Putnam High School.  Stanley worked in the construction industry for over twenty years and then worked as a truck driver.  He enjoyed cooking for his family, camping and was an avid outdoorsman. Stanley loved spending time with his kids, his dogs and gardening in the summer.  He leaves a son, Joseph Ferris, four daughters, Jessica Ferris and Nichole Ferris, Erin Ferris, Katie Ferris, a brother, Toby Ferris, his former wife, Ellen (Sears) Dale, his mother-in-law, Maureen (Murphy) Sears, a nephew, Christopher Sears and a niece, Christina Sears, and his two dogs, Maxx and Charlie. Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut St., Springfield. The burial will be private.
