Stefan Borcea, 90, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at home surrounded by his family.  Born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, he grew up there and has lived in Feeding Hills since 1987.  Stefan was an Air Force veteran, serving for twenty years and was in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.  He retired in 1979 with the rank of staff sergeant.  After being honorably discharged from the military, he worked as a self-employed wedding photographer, and drove a school bus for the Lower Pioneer Valley Educational Collaborative. He stayed active in Agawam playing shuffleboard on Tuesday, bowling on Wednesdays and Fridays, and golfed on Thursdays. He leaves his wife of 65 years, Christina (Christiaanse) Borcea, two daughters, Mary Ann Provost and her husband James Provost of Agawam, Stephanie Borcea of Manchester, CT, a son, Donald C. Borcea and his wife Rachel Markowitz of Northampton, MA, six grandchildren: Jeremy Provost and Angela Pellegrino, Laura Provost and Michael Buoniconti, Corrie Roe and Bart Crosbie, Tracy Chen and her husband Tao, Anabelle Borcea, and Aaron Borcea and two great grandchildren: Emma Buoniconti and Theodore Chen.  We would like to thank the Baystate Medical 7th floor, his team of doctors and his hospice team. The funeral will be Thursday at 10am at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
