Stella M. Desmarais

AGAWAM – Stella M. (Zaucha) Desmarais, 97, of Rowley Street died Monday in an Agawam Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Stella was born in Westfield and has lived in Agawam her entire life. She worked for the late Judge Stapleton in Agawam and at Buxton, where she met her husband. She was a longtime communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. Her husband Francis Desmarais died in 1965. Stella leaves a son Albert Desmarais; her granddaughter Kristin Desmarais; a sister Frances Moffett; two nephews Kenneth Moffett and Stephen Zancho; niece Carol Zancho and her sister-in-law Trudi Zancho. A private funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by interment in the Mausoleum at St. Michael's Cemetery. For more details please visit curranjones.com.
