Obituary

Stephen (Steve) Stuart Corrigall, 70, of Cumming, Georgia, died on January 23, 2016, surrounded by family after an eight-year battle with Multiple Myeloma. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Curran-Jones in West Springfield, Massachusetts on Friday February 5, 2016, at 10:00 am. Steve was born on July 11, 1945, in Philadelphia, PA, to James Stephen Corrigall and Lucy (nee DuMoulin) of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He is survived by his wife Lynn (nee Amato) of Cumming, GA; son William Corrigall, his wife Katherine and grandchildren Nolan and Maeve of Portland, ME; daughter Rebecca Corrigall and husband Walter Biscardi of Buford, GA; daughter Heather, husband Randy Lockey and grandson Quentin (Quinn) of Buford, GA; sister Catharine (Kitty) and husband John Goldberg of Chicago, IL; sister Lucy Corrigall and husband David Orleans of Guam. He graduated from Brunswick Academy in Greenwich, Connecticut in 1963, and went on to Washington & Jefferson College in Pennsylvania graduating with a B.A. in 1967. He worked in the insurance industry and achieved his CPCU designation. He met his wife Lynn in Hartford, Connecticut at the Hartford Insurance Company and they married in 1987 in San Francisco, CA. Steve enjoyed traveling and building rockets. He was a member of SoAR (Southern Area Rocketry). He loved traveling in his RV and staying connected with family and friends all over the country. To only write of Steve's hobbies and accomplishments does not represent all he was as an individual. He was in the hearts of so many people, was kind, generous and loving to everyone he met, especially his friends and family. Steve was meticulous and thoughtful in all that he did, from projects to relationships with others, including his dogs, Max and Gracie. Steve's family encourages that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Steve's memory to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation at 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor Norwalk, CT 06851.
