Stephen George Loyack, age 76, passed away in his home on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Born to Agnes (Lapsansky) (deceased) and Stephen Loyack (deceased) on August 3, 1940. He grew up in Pittston, PA with his two brothers Thomas and John (deceased). He met and married Mary Picarelli in May of 1964 and lived with her and their two children in New York while working for Kirby Saunders Company before moving to Massachusetts in 1969. He worked at Harry Grodsky Company for 37 years before retiring and dedicating the remainder of his life to what he loved most: hunting, fishing, working on his garden and lawn, being an active member of East Longmeadow Capital Planning Board and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by his wife Mary of 52 years. He also leaves behind his daughters Susan and her husband Brian Toomey of Wilbraham, and Nanette and her husband Daniel Kleeberg of East Longmeadow. Stephen, also known as "Dziadziu" will forever be in the hearts of his six grandchildren: Alyssa, Alexa and Nathaniel Toomey of Wilbraham and Hannah, Ashley and Jacob Kleeberg of East Longmeadow, all of whom he loved very much. A large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins also mourn his death. Stephen is remembered for his adventurous spirit and love of life. Fishing and hunting were his favorite things to do when he wasn't traveling the world with his wife, making friends everywhere he went. Stephen touched the lives of countless people. He will be forever in our hearts. There will be a private service for family only at Curran-Jones Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.
