Stephen E. Wisniewski, 66, passed away after a long and courageous battle fighting cancer on Friday, October 28, 2016. Stephen was born in Holyoke, on June 22, 1950, son of the late Joseph J. and Phyllis M. (Rae) Wisniewski, and was the youngest of four siblings. He was a 1968 graduate of Holyoke High School. He moved to Feeding Hills in 1982. Stephen worked as a Telecommunications Senior Analyst for thirty-four years for Alstom Power, formerly Combustion Engineering/ABB, retiring in 2011. He devoted many years to the Knights of Columbus JFK Council and rose to the rank of fourth degree, a past Grand Knight and former District Deputy. He enjoyed going to the casino with his friends and loved the game of golf in any and all forms. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of twenty-six years, Eileen E. (Hebert) Wisniewski in 2002. He is survived by his daughter, Amy K. Dunbar and her husband Shane R. Dunbar and their son, Hayden S. Dunbar of Agawam, a son, Joseph D. Wisniewski and his spouse, Anthony D. Lissandri of West Springfield, two brothers, John J. Wisniewski of Port Orange, FL, Dennis M. Wisniewski of Holyoke, a sister, Kristin A. Fredlund of Thomaston, CT and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, 1103 Springfield Street followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery, both in Feeding Hills. The calling hours are Wednesday at the AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street from 4-7pm.
