Steven K. McDonnell

1970 - 2020

Chicopee - Steven Keith McDonnell, 49, passed away  on September 17, 2020.  Born in Springfield and lived in Chicopee for the past 30 years. He was a skilled painter for most of his career. An outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, turkey- shooting, and golfing with his cherished only son, Hunter McDonnell. Steven was the son of the late I. Janice McDonnell.  He leaves behind his devoted wife of 25 years, Renee Ashey, their son Hunter McDonnell, stepdaughter Caitlyn Daviau & James of Chicopee, and granddaughter Ellie.   His older brother Patrick & Lynne of  West Springfield,  his younger brother Peter & Terri of Chicopee.  His nieces Bailey & Erin McDonnell, and Morgan Pokrzywa. His nephews Brandon and Cody Chisholm.  He will be missed dearly by his brother in- law Christopher Ashey of New York, mother & father in-law Cindy & Sid Ashey of Chicopee and many close friends.
