FEEDING HILLS – Susan E. (Becker) Johnson, 72, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family, on Monday, August 15, 2022 at home.  Born in Elmira, New York, daughter of the late Winton E. and Lois V. (Bennett) Becker, she grew up in Elmira and graduated from Southside High School in 1967.  She also received her bachelor's degree in 1971 from Albany State University.  She moved to Wilbraham in 1982 and to Feeding Hills in 1989.  Susan was a freelance writer and painter.  She had a deep love for the arts and for crafts, which led to her love of Irish Folk Music, knitting, painting and spending quality time with her family.  She especially enjoyed traveling and spending time at the ocean which made her feel alive.  She loved learning about different cultures and music.  She leaves her husband of fifty years, Jerry A. Johnson, a son, Michael J. Johnson of Feeding Hills, a daughter, Jennifer E. Bennett of West Springfield, a brother, James M. Becker of South Carolina, and two grandchildren, Brianna Bennett and Ryker Bennett.  The funeral will be Friday at 10am at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
