Sylvia (Lindsay) Duquette passed away on Jan. 27, 2017 with her son by her side. She was born April 30, 1922 in New Hampshire and spent most of her childhood in Vermont. She moved to Springfield, MA in 1931 and then to West Springfield in 1972. She is predeceased by husband Camille "Duke" Duquette in 2004 and an infant son in 1943. Sylvia was an active member of the West Springfield Senior Center. She belonged to the COA since 1994 where she was chairman for several years. In 1991 she started and directed the West Springfield Line Dancers for 19 years. She was co-producer of the 14 Senior Center shows. She is survived by her two sons David and his wife Sharon of Belchertown and Gary with whom she lived, as well as 3 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren. She also leaves her dear friend Jean Weldon. The funeral home service will be Tuesday at 11 am at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home. A calling hour will precede the service on Tuesday from 10 to 11 am. Burial in the spring.
