Tammy A. Curran
1973 – 2026
Feeding Hills – Tammy A. (Barbery) Curran, aged 53, passed away peacefully on Monday, with her husband by her side. Born in Providence, RI, Tammy was the cherished daughter of the late Raymond and Carol (Pedchenko) Barbery. A dedicated student, she graduated from Cranston High School West, attended CCRI, and earned her paralegal degree from Branford Hall in Connecticut.
For the past 19 years, Tammy made her home in Feeding Hills with her husband, Chris, who was her best friend, the love of her life and always by her side. Tammy thrived in her career as a paralegal at The Law Office of Attorney Susan M. Williams. She brought genuine passion to her work and was well known and loved by countless clients over 19 years for the compassion and personal time she devoted to each of them. A truly dedicated employee, Tammy showed up every day with her signature two Diet Cokes and two Red Bulls—and she always got the job done went above and beyond.
Tammy also cherished activities like furniture refinishing and any type of arts and crafts. She always had a new project underway and took great joy in creating thoughtful, handmade gifts for the people she loved. Anyone who knew Tammy was almost certain to receive a customized wine glass or light-up bottle celebrating their favorite sports team. The memories of her creativity and generosity will live on in every piece she made. Tammy’s heart was full of love for her nieces and nephews, especially Frankie, Benjamin and Julia.
Tammy is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Christopher J. Curran; her siblings and their spouses, Colleen and Christopher Crotteau, Raymond and Angela Barbery, Robert and Patricia Barbery, and William and Carol Barbery; her sister-in-law Kelly Drolet and her husband Brian; and her mother-in-law Jo-Anne Dwyer and her husband Donald. She is predeceased by her father-in-law Roger Curran. Her affection for animals, particularly her dear cats Rupert and Griffin, was evident to all who knew her. She was predeceased by her cat of 17 years, Stewie.
