Theodore J. Gingras

1928 – 2021

Feeding Hills – Theodore Joseph Gingras, 93, died unexpectedly Saturday evening in Mercy Medical Center surrounded by his family. Ted was born, the oldest of ten children, in New Castle, PA, he grew up in Springfield and was a 1946 graduate of Tech High School. He worked as a custodian for the W.F. Young Company, a shipper for the Bond Bread Bakery and owned his own Lawn Care Service. He served briefly with the United States Marines. Ted was predeceased by his first wife Lillian (Pixley) Gingras and his second wife Barbara (Smith) Gingras. He leaves a son Theodore J. Gingras Jr., three daughters Diane Seaver, Deborah Maynard, and Elizabeth Gleason; his siblings Eugene Gingras, Ida Sheik, Gloria Boisvert, Mary Collins and Ramona Lazarri and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ted was also predeceased by his other siblings William, Joseph, and Emanuel Gingras and Elizabeth Harkless. The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday at noon followed by burial in St. Michael's Cemetery.
