Theresa A. (Giannetti) Veneroni
1917 – 2012

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Theresa A. (Giannetti), 94, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2012 after a brief illness. Theresa was born in Springfield, the daughter of Antonio and Angela Giannetti, and lived her whole life in West Springfield. She was a devoted member of the former St. Ann's Church until its close. In her younger years she served in the choir, the Women's Clubs and the CCD. Employed for many years at Steiger's, Lotus China and Johnson's Book Store, she especially liked working with the brides and their wedding registries. Theresa was a talented cook and seamstress, using these talents for the benefit of her family's delight. She leaves her husband, Giovanni, to whom she was married for 72 years, two daughters, Anita Bourcier and her husband Donald, and Terry Vosburgh and her husband Anthony all of West Springfield and a son John Veneroni of California. Theresa was a loving and generous grandmother to Todd and Kasia Bourcier of Maryland, Scott and Lisa Bourcier of South Carolina, Simon and Allison Vosburgh of Agawam, Lindsay and Isaac Braley of Lynnfield, MA and Brian Vosburg of West Springfield. She especially delighted in her seven great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her sisters, Patricia Tenero and her husband Stanley and Mary Gentile, all of West Springfield. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Antoinette and Dominic Longo, and brother and sister-in-law Stephen and Tina Giannetti. Theresa's life was well-lived. She always worked hard, and lived for the welfare of her family. We all wish her gentle peace in the Lord's loving embrace. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday at 10:30am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.
