SPRINGFIELD-Thomas J. Garvey, 64, died Friday in Parkview Specialty Hospital. He was born in Springfield, son of the late Patrick Garvey and Mary (Merceri) Garvey and lived in Springfield most of his life. He served in the Army in Vietnam from 1964 to 1966 and worked as an electrician for Tom Ferris Electric. He leaves the love of his life, his son Matthew Tyler Warren of Springfield, his best friend and closest companion Charlene Warren, two brothers, Patrick Garvey and his wife Kasey of Springfield and Tim Garvey and his wife Joanne of Wilbraham, two sisters, Nancy Foley and her husband John of FL and Tracy Bartula and her husband David of Chicopee, his step-father Edward Smigel of Wilbraham and his dear friend Tom Ferris of E. Longmeadow. The committal service with military honors will be Wednesday at 1 pm at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
