Thomas E. Sheehan
1948 – 2016

AGAWAM – Thomas E. Sheehan, 68, died Tuesday at home surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born in Springfield, June 23, 1948, son of the late William and Grace (Johnson) Sheehan Sr. He was raised and educated in Springfield and has lived in Agawam for the past 43 years. He worked in the printing business for many years, retiring from Star Press. An avid Red Sox and NASCAR Fan he enjoyed horseshoes and playing cards. For many years "Coach Sheehan" was involved with the Agawam Athletic Association, as a baseball and basketball coach. Besides his parents Tom was predeceased by his daughter Melissa Sheehan-Black, his brother William and sister Rose. He is survived by his loving wife Linda (Tortoriello) Sheehan; his children Tim (Missy), Rick (Elisabel) and Tina Nascembeni (Tony); a son-in-law Dorian Black; a sister Mary Cardwell and his best friend Brian Schuerer. He also leaves his twelve beloved grandchildren, who were "His World". Visiting hours will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday July 22, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
