Thomas F. Ventura, 83, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, August 4, 2023.  Thomas was born in Boston, son of the late Charles A. and Lucy (Delaney) Ventura, and is of Italian and Irish descent.  Sergeant Thomas F. Ventura served our country in the Army for twenty-two years and was a Vietnam Veteran.  Thomas ran and owned a business with his dad, Charles A. Ventura rebuilding alternators.  He was also an auto mechanic and owned a service station with his beloved wife, Geraldine F. Ventura in Ware called T & G Auto.  He loved westerns and professional football.  In later years, Thomas worked with his beloved wife Geraldine running a preschool daycare in Ware.  Thomas was known for his wit and sense of humor.  He loved his family and always put them ahead of him. Thomas' favorite quote was "Don't worry about anything until it happens, by then it's too late". He was also a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Ware.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Catherine and Debbie.  Thomas is survived by his bride of fifty-seven years, Geraldine F. (Briggs) Ventura, three sons, Thomas Ventura and his wife Michelle of Hadley, Joseph Ventura and his wife Wendy of Ludlow, Angelo Ventura of Warren, his grandchildren, Zachary Ventura, Amanda Marshall, Nathan Ventura, Gabriella Ventura, Jason Hall,  his great-grandchildren Jameson and Easton, his Godchild, Jody Parker-Matt, his siblings, Charles Jr., Carol, Paul, Francis, Linda, Marylou, Elaine, Anna, Steven and nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, 1061 Springfield Street, Feeding Hills followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thomas' memory to the Military for Veterans Affairs.
