Valeda E. DeVecchi

FEEDING HILLS-Valeda E. (Beaudreau) DeVecchi, 91, died peacefully at home on Saturday. She was born in Springfield, is the daughter of the late Adelard and Flora Beaudreau and has lived in Feeding Hills since 1957. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and was an avid gardener, crafter, homemaker and cook. She was predeceased by her husband James in 2002. She leaves two beloved sons, John of Agawam and James and his wife Deborah of Portsmouth, RI, a brother-in-law John Hegarty of Stafford Springs, CT, two cherished grandchildren J. Matthew DeVecchi and his wife Anne Eliza of Santa Monica, CA and Stephen Burton DeVecchi of Somerville, MA and a cherished great grandson James Andrew DeVecchi. She was also predeceased by four sisters and a brother. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 am from Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 11:00 am. Burial is in the Springfield Street Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday 4-7:00 pm.
