West Springfield-Verna E. (Beauchane) Plante, 90, formerly of Pine Street passed from this earth Thursday after a long and blessed life. Verna was born in Agawam and lived in Springfield for 45 years before moving to West Springfield. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond, brother Sonny and sisters Lorenza and Buddy with whom she is now partying. She was a loving mother and grandmother leaving four children; Norman, Allan, Lynne and Paul Plante, two grandchildren Katie and Joe Plante and many loved nephews and nieces. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home on Monday at 9:00 am with Liturgy in St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 10:00 am, followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. She wanted no tears shed or flowers wasted on her. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).
