March 28, 1933 – April 18, 2023
Vincenzo Giugno "Vinnie" DiLorenzo, Jr., 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Born in Norwood, MA on March 28, 1933, son of the late Vincenzo and Carmela (Ricciardi) DiLorenzo. He is also predeceased by his precious wife, Carol (Flynn) and by all his beloved siblings, Leonilda "Lena", Luigino "Louie", Emilio, Antonetta "Dunette", Giovannina "Jennie", Americo "Mico". He grew up in Springfield, MA where he graduated from Technical High School and Springfield College. He was courted by professional football scouts but declined to leave his family. Vincent worked many years as a bricklayer before acquiring the position of building inspector for the City of Springfield, from which he retired. He proudly served in the United States Army. He will be missed by many loving family members and friends. He greatly enjoyed playing tennis and golf and rarely missed watching professional football games on TV. He never stopped loving Italian pastries and ice cream. However, his ultimate joy was his family. He was a long-time member of Bethany Assembly of God, 580 Main Street, Agawam, MA where a celebration of his life will be held on May 1, 2023 at 9:30 AM in the Lighthouse Chapel, followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME is in charge. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Assembly of God.
