Vincent P. Mineo

1960 –2025

Springfield -Vincent P. Mineo, 65, passed away peacefully Sunday at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Springfield, son of the late Vincent and Beverly (Poehler) Mineo growing up and living in the Forest Park area. Vinny attended Holy Name school and graduated from Cathedral High School, where he played hockey. He received his degree from Springfield Technical Community College and later proudly worked for the United States Department of Defense for 31 years. Vin was an avid golfer recording two holes in ones. He loved his dog Bruin, cooking, attending concerts, and was a diehard New England sports fan. He leaves his sister Elizabeth Mineo-Young and her husband Bob Young of West Springfield. Brother-in-law Dino Scibelli of East Longmeadow. Nephew Nicholas Scibelli and his wife Allicia of East Longmeadow. Niece Jacqueline Pellerin and her husband Keith of Longmeadow. Niece Andrea Giroux of Springfield. Great nephews and niece Eagan, Vincent, Margaret, and John. He is also lovingly remembered by all members of the Young family and his best friend Dave Pise. Vinny is predeceased by his brother, Joseph V Mineo 2012 and sister Mary T. Scibelli 2018. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 1:00pm.
