Vivian Ferraro Swirk

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Vivian (Lamothe) Ferraro Swirk, 92 of Massachusetts Avenue died Saturday in Mercy Hospital. Vivian was born in West Springfield and has lived here all her life. She was a longtime communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and member of the St. Thomas Senior Women's Club. She worked for Springfield Wire Company for 17 years until her retirement in 1989 and was active with the West Springfield Senior Center. She leaves her husband Adalbert F. Swirk; two sons James Ferraro and his wife Diane of West Springfield, Donald Ferraro and his wife Priscilla of Winchester, VA; a daughter Noreen Poole of Agawam; eight grandchildren Paul, Jason and Derek Poole, Anthony, Nicole and Joseph Ferraro, Tia Smith and Cheri Poggi and ten great grandchildren with one on the way. She was predeceased by two brothers Lester and Alfred Lamothe; a sister Lucille Gurney and a great granddaughter Ella Hope Ferraro. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday at 9:00am with Liturgy in St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.
