Walter P. Hoey, 85, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 23, 2025.  Born in West Springfield, son of the late John and Ann (MacRobbie) Hoey, he was a lifelong resident of West Springfield and a 1957 graduate of West Springfield High School.  Walter worked for many years for Larson Auto Body in Springfield and then he worked for over twenty years at the Mosher Company in Chicopee and retired in 2004 as a plant manager.  He enjoyed NASCAR and traveling, especially day trips.  He leaves his wife of fifty-six years, Constance H. (Sanders) Hoey, a son, Jeffrey J. Hoey of West Springfield, a daughter and her husband, Elizabeth A. and Gary DiStefano of West Springfield, and two grandchildren, Elise DiStefano and Isabella DiStefano.  The burial is at the convenience of the family.  For online condolences, please visit www.curranjones.com
