Warren R. Slater, 71, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in Mercy Medical Center.  Born in Ludlow, son of the late Robert and Mary (Linko) Slater, he grew up in the Springfield area and moved to Feeding Hills in 1987.  Warren worked as a machinist at the former Hano Business Forms in Springfield.  He was NASCAR Racing Fan and had raced and assisted at both the former Riverside Speedway and the Stafford Springs Raceway.  He leaves his wife of forty years, Delma (Quimque) Slater, a daughter, Donna Slater of Texas, a brother, Les Slater of Chicago, and two grandchildren, Bobby and Courtney.  The funeral will be Saturday at 9am from the AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street with a Mass at 10 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 123 William Street, Springfield. The burial will follow in Springfield Street Cemetery in Feeding Hills. Calling hours are Friday from 6-9pm.
