William Blake
1935-2013
CHICOPEE-William Blake, age 78, died at Bay State Medical Center on Wednesday December 25, 2013. After living with Alzheimer's he was admitted for an injury and succumbed to complications related to a lung infection. Born on August 24, 1935 in New Bedford, he lived in Chicopee Massachusetts. He worked as the owner of Alternate Advantage Computers in West Springfield until retiring in 2007. He served in the Marine Corps and is a veteran of the Korean War. William was preceded in death by his wife Rita. He is survived by his brother Tony Beatriz of Fairhaven, MA, his sister Theresa Paim of San Jose, CA, his son Michael Blake and his wife Erica of Chicopee, MA, his son Steven Blake and his wife Tara of Raynham, MA, and his 5 grandchildren. They remember him for the application of his unwavering work ethic for the good of his family. Calling hours will be held at Curran-Jones Funeral Home located at 109 Main St., West Springfield, MA on Sunday December 29th from 2:00-5:00 pm. Burial will be held Monday December 30th at 10am at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are welcome to the Alzheimer's Association.
