William J. Didonna, 82, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 21, 2023. Born in Bennington, VT, son of the late Baptiste and Mary (Sullivan) Didonna, he grew up in Northampton and lived there most of his life.  He also lived in Chicopee and Southampton.  William worked for New England Telephone for many years before his retirement.  He loved the ocean and sailing on the Connecticut shoreline on several different boats he owned.  He was also an avid animal lover who devoted his retirement years helping care for all the family's pets while spending precious time with his children and families. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War and a Ham Radio operator with the call letters of NE1Z.  William attended New Day Church in Enfield, CT for the last three years. He leaves three daughters, Julie A. Abel of Southampton, Kelly S. Rogalski of Agawam and her partner, James E. Abel, Cory L. Theobald and her husband Douglas of West Springfield, a step-daughter, Joanie E. Rockett and her family, his sister, Kathleen Holley of Turners Falls, his former wife, Susan (Remy) Trudeau of Northampton, eight grandchildren, Michael, Madison, Maxwell, Ryan, Matthew, Chelsea, Dana, Cameron and three great-grandchildren, Aleksey, Emma and Grace.   All services will be private and the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME is in charge.
