Obituary

William R. Fricker, 88, died Monday at the Soldier's Home in Holyoke. He was born in Whitinsville, MA and has lived in Granby for many years. He proudly served seven years in the Army and thirteen years in the Air Force. He worked as a physical therapist and later worked in the Granby school system. William loved bowling, cribbage, his home grown tomatoes and especially loved visiting his friends at the Granby Senior Center. He was predeceased by his wife Ernastine (Dorrer) Fricker. He leaves his son Gordon, daughter Karin and her husband Asghar, grandchildren Farrah and Yasmin and sisters Elizabeth King and Margaret Cook. The funeral home service will be Monday at 11 am at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley followed by burial with Military Honors at the West St. Cemetery.
