William P. Hershowitz

FEEDING HILLS-William P. Hershowitz, 71, died Wednesday in Heritage Hall West. He was born in Springfield and has lived in Feeding Hills for 45 years. William worked as a correctional officer for the State of Connecticut, retiring in 1989. He later worked as a custodian for the Woodland School in Southwick. He leaves his beloved wife of 48 years, Eileen (Kane) Hershowitz, a son Steven Hershowitz and his wife Lisa of Palmer, two daughters Amy Duquette and her husband David of Agawam and Karen Hershowitz of West Springfield, a brother David Hershowitz and his wife Bonnie of West Springfield and five grandchildren, Zachary, Evan and Grace Hershowitz and Corey and Megan Duquette. The funeral will be Monday at 9:00 am from the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 10:00 am. Burial in Springfield Street Cemetery.
