William C. McCarthy

WINCHESTER, N.H. – William C. "Bill" McCarthy, 69, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon. Bill was born in Springfield, son of the late Frederick and Barbara (Calcidise) McCarthy. He grew up in West Springfield and has lived in New Hampshire since 2005. He was a retired Route Sales Driver for various companies in the area. An avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, he loved spending time on Big Pond in Otis, fishing and playing cribbage. He leaves his wife of 31 years Linda A. (Leduc) McCarthy; a sister Bonnie Eggelston and her husband Roy; brother-in-law Robert Leduc, sister-in-law Elaine Collins and her husband Mark; nephews Roy and Stephen Eggleston. He also leaves his cousins, who he was raised with; Frank, Charles, Colleen and Mark. Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday from 9:30 – 10:30am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 11:00am.
