William D. Pajak, 86, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Born in West Springfield, son of the late Edward H. and Angela (Galus) Pajak, and the late Hazel G. (Blanchard) Pajak, who helped raise him after his mother died. He was a lifelong resident of West Springfield and a graduate of West Springfield High School. William retired from Mercy Hospital in 1997 as the director of engineer and previously he worked as a mechanic at Morin Manufacturing in West Springfield. He was a marine corps veteran of the Korean War, receiving the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Korean Presidential Unit Citation. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating out on the ocean and moved to Florida in 1998. He leaves his wife, Constance (Landry) Cecchetelli Pajak, three sons and their wives, Michael D. and Diane Pajak of Palmer, John A. and Andrea Pajak, Edward T. and Angelina Pajak all of West Springfield, four daughters, Deborah J. Davies of Hampden, Kathleen M. Sliwa, Sharon A. Pajak, Kim M. and her husband, Raymond Aiken all of West Springfield, his former wife, Maureen (Brazell) Pajak of West Springfield, two brothers, Ronald Pajak of Maine, Timothy Pajak of Florida, a sister, Charlene Russell of Maine, five step-sons, Tony, Tommy, Timmy, Teddy and Todd Cecchetelli, a step-daughter, Tracy Cecchetelli all of West Springfield, ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, William D. Pajak in 2006. The funeral will be Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 3:30pm at the West Springfield Curran Jones, 109 Main Street. The burial will be private.
